I have over 300 gigs worth of files (spanning 2 years worth of data) in a slew of directories (over 100,000 individual folders) any one of these folders could contain all sorts of graphics, movies, audio files, documents etc..
Unfortunatly I have been very slack in my organizational methods and currently it is just one folder imbedded in another. Is there any application out there than can sort through all these files and perhaps organize them by date and file type? (Kinda of like what spotlight does, but actually organize them in a directory structure). I am getting tired of having to dig through a hundred layers of a directory to find a file that I need. Even worse, some of the directories are layered so deep that spotlight cant even index them, and the finder wont let me open or move the files!
If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appriciate it!
