I'm so p*ssed right now I could throw that little crap excuse for a laptop right out the window. It's a MacBookPro on 10.5.....basically, I can't even get to the login screen. It loads on the apple logo screen, then tries to load over and over forever on the blue screen.
1. "Safe boot"--> This works for everyone apparently....except me of course. It doesn't change anything at all. I've tried this at least 10 times now, releasing "shift" either at the apple logo or when the loading "gear" symbol shows up....NOTHING. Apparently, "safe boot" mode simply does not exist on my computer, or it simply laughs and does not allow it to happen, because this computer is an a**hole.
2. boot from Install disc, switch out to Startup disk-->NOTHING. No change....loads up on apple screen then goes to the eternal blue screen.
3. Archive and Install---> I just tried this but it says "Install failed".
4. Hardware test--->turning on and holding "h"--->nothing. It says this garbage is "Ok", but of course that doesn't change anything, and I still can't get on the desktop.
----------
I downloaded an OSX update recently, but it worked for a couple of days at least, so it would be odd if the update itself were the problem....if that were the case, wouldn't the problem have started happening immediately, the first time I turned the system on again after downloading that?
I paid $2,000.00 for THIS trash and it's not even a year old. Yeah, thanks a lot, Apple. This is such fun.
