iSight camera not operating

I have a new Macbook Pro and have been unable to get the built in camera to work.

Everytime I try to use it in iPhoto or SKYPE, I get a message saying

"Camera in use by another application"

I cannot see anything using the camera.

HELP please

Some report that a simple PMU reset works (again, Google is your friend), while others report that it's related to their version of Quicktime they have installed.

Please provide more information on your setup: version of Mac OS X, exact model of MacBook Pro (13"? 15"? 17?"), etc.
