iSight external webcam shutting down

Hi,

Have an external iSight camera running on a Macmini.
Was fine but has starting shutting down.
I get a few seconds of the green light on the camera and then it makes a slight noise and shuts off.
Any ideas?
Is it dead?

Unplug the camera and try to Reset Your PRAM. Just keep holding the keys down and let the "bong" noise bong for three times. This will completely rebuild the port controllers chips, Good Luck.

Satcomer.
Tried the reseting my PRAM but same old few seconds then short-circuiting.
Suspect it may be terminal but happy to try any other suggestions.

The only thing I could suggest now is try to see if you can try the camera on another Mac (somehow) and see if that Mac see the camera. This way you can tell if it is the camera or the Mac Mini. Sorry I can't help with any more suggestions.
