isync problems - no device found

my isnyc isn't finding my ipod plugged in through one of the rear USB ports. I click on "add device" and it says "no device found"
anyone else having problems?
 
Hi, I am not trying to sync an ipod, but my Palm M515. Do device found. What do I have to do to get Tiger to see my palm? Palm Desktop is syncing fine! Anybody know the answer? HELP please.
 
What version of OS X do you have? If you have versions 10.2 or 10.3, you'll need this. Tiger has this built in.

I have System X.4.7, iCal 2.0.3, iSync 2.0 and Palm 4.2.1.I have gone through all the instructions of disabling palm conduits, etc, and enabled the isync conduit. However, it does not recognize my palm device and when I scan, no devices can be found. Very perplexing!
