So the other day I updated finally to itunes 7 which then updated my iPod to the 1.2 software.

Unfortunately now I am unable to transfer any video of any kind to it.

This goes for:
1. Videos from the iTunes store
2. Videos exported from iSquint
3. Videos exported from EyeTV
4. Videos exported from Quicktime 7 Pro

I have searched for everything I could find on this and I have no idea what the solution to this problem is. All I know is that all was well before I downloaded iTunes 7. I could freely copy videos to the iPod with iTunes 6.

Can anyone help me?

Did you click of the ipod icon in iTunes 7? This will bring up NEW iPod sync preferences that are turned off to start. You must turn certain syncs back on because the sync preferences in iTunes 7 is different that the last several iTunes preferences.

I've exactly the same problem . I tried everything but didn't work like I used to move movies before (using iTunes 6.5)...I installed the previous version on another computer but still no luck . Last thing I'm trying is to convert from mp4(which didn't work) to .mov ....

I think the update 1.2 is good but it doesn't accept mp4 anymore , probably .

Not all iTunes videos can be transferred to iPod; there are lots of limitations including resolution, bit rate, aspect ratio, size audio codec, and so on. You need convert them to iPod compatible video.

Here is a two solutions to help you fix the "cannot be played on iPod" error message. It's dead easy. The solutions are also applied to solving "cannot be played on iPad/iPhone/Apple TV" error massage.
