iTunes Authorization Issue

I'm trying to play purchased music but after I authorize it gives me an error message saying: "There was an error storing your authorization information on this computer. The required directory was not found or has a permission error."

I already followed the advice given to me from this article:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93061

but it still didn't change anything? what is supposed to be stored in the shared file? Because mine is completely empty.

If you have already tried fixing the permissions for that Shared folder, you may need to restart your Mac. Also, Go to your Applications/Utilities folder, and run Disk Utility, select your hard drive, and click on the Repair Disk Permissions button.
The Shared folder would be used by iTunes to store certain shared data files. As it still give you that error (up to this point) then nothing would be there yet... You could also try deleting that Shared folder (even though it appears 'empty', there may be invisible files/folders in that folder) and follow the steps in the article to change the permissions to the correct setup.
Restart your Mac after that, and try your iTunes again....
