iTunes question

I was playing my mp3s with iTunes, and had it on random. Somehow, the choices iTunes made were awesome, all the songs blended nicely...is there anyway this information is stored? I wanna play the songs again in the same order iTunes just did!!!

I believe the random uses several factors that are stored in the program(something like a Smart Playlist). It looks like it groups "random" by times played (plus not repeating tracks), genre, year, and artist. You probably could get close to the "random"="Party Shuffle" with programming a Smart Playlist. Try using Smart Playlist and experimenting with it. You may surprise yourself.

If you have not quit iTunes, you can get the list by clicking on the blank column that has numbers in it.

If the number of songs in your list hasn't changed, I'm quite sure you can just play, on random, starting at the first song you remember; the random function isn't very random. I used to have a sweet series of songs that played if I started with "She Dumped Me" by Gus and Frank.

From what I can tell, the algorithm advances a certain number of songs, and if there's a different number of songs, it'll play other ones to those you want.

...and this time remember to put each one in a playlist as it plays.
