iTunes Store: Burn To CD

Hey, iTunes Store is finally in Canada! I tried to burn a song I bought to CD, but it comes out just silent. I used Toast 6. Is that the problem? All the other songs that were just ripped from other CD that were already on my computer came out fine. Maybe burning through iTunes will fix this?

Yep, give it a try. Toast burns protected AAC files just fine on my computer, but the deciding factor may be QuickTime Pro... do you have QuickTime Pro?

iTunes should burn the protected AAC files (from the iTMS) just fine.

Just a hunch, but I think Toast uses some QuickTime Pro elements for media files... not exactly sure, though. I'm not sure.

I'll give Toast a try on my machine with some protected AAC files and see what happens later today...

I do have QuickTime Pro and still cannot burn iTunes Music Store files to disc. Is Apple now blocking this too? If so I have purchased my last ITMS file!

Edit— Found that i had MP3 selected under the iTunes Burning Pref's. Change to Audio to allow an audio burn.

yeah, why do people use toast to burn music cds instead of itunes. i assume, of course, that you use itunes to listen to said music.

If he has an unsupported CD-R drive, that might be one reason. But otherwise, I'd definitely try it from iTunes.
