iTunes stutters on mix cd's

Jyust wondering if anyone else experiences stutters as the tracks change on mix cd's that hape been ripped to mp3. Plays the cd's fine. I've turned the crossfader off.

You mean there are gaps between MP3s ripped from a continuous mix CD? Then, yes. I think it's a well known limitation of iTunes right now. I belive there is an option to rip selected tracks as one continuous MP3 file in iTunes to overcome the issue.

It's annoying to me too, since I listen to quite a few mixed CDs.

phatsharpie, I know of no such feature (unless it's added in an iTunes that's only available to Jag, which I don't have yet).

But yeah bookem, like phatsharpie said, it's because it's switching tracks. It does the same thing on iPod.

It's a feature of iTunes 3. Below is a quote from the iTunes website...

Turn separate tracks into one song on import using Join Tracks.

I really do hope Apple come up with a more elegant solution though.

I really hope they sort this out as well, as I refuse to replace my minidisc with an iPod until they do.
