Do you have an iSight? If you do, unplug it directly from your
Mac and use a firewire hub for it instead. If you don't have an isight, then I am sorry to say that something in your Core Audio in Tiger is messed up.
I wonder if it has been triggered by my ipod..? i dont see how thats possible though. Also i believe (from my basic understanding) that its only an itunes problem; not a audio problem - because ive been using QuickTime as an alternative...
What should my next step be? take it into an apple store?
YESSSSS. i got it back working. First of all a huge thanks to everyone who helped me. I believe it may of been my ipod triggering it all, as i formatted my ipod and re installed itunes (for the 10th time) and it all worked smoothly
