iWeb limitation

Either I'm really dumb, or iWeb is limited to web sizes that are the size of one vertical screen.

I have a three pictures on a screen. The third picture is only partially visible on the bottom of the screen. The scroll bar does not alllow me to go below the pictures to add text. Neither todes the page down screen.

Please enlighten me...I don't think iWeb could be a serious web designing program if it only allows one screen-long websites. I've been fighting the program for nearly 20 minutes and I can't seem to find a way around this. Chances are the solution is right in front of my face and I haven't found it yet.

This is one of the reason I stay away from web-building software and write me own HTML code.

Any and all assistance is appreciated!

Very strange... I fired up iWeb just to check this out, and it lets me add photos galore and scroll all the way down and add text.

Perhaps it's a glitch in the iWeb window itself -- have you tried manually resizing the window via the lower right-hand corner of the window, or perhaps clicking the green "resize" button at the top left-hand side of the iWeb window? Maybe this will "unstick" the scrollbar and allow you to view your entire page.

iWeb most definitely allows pages longer than one screen, but I would never call it a "serious" web design application. The HTML produced is ugly as sin, and in certain cases, really non-standards-compliant. I would believe it's aimed at those of us with no design sense, or no HTML knowledge, or no time to muck with HTML, or all of the above. It's for getting good-looking pages on the internet easily and quickly, no more, no less.

Yeah, I wanted a quick-and-easy solution and was visually impressed by what some of iWeb can do. I looked at the HTML it generated and it was longer and more confusing than the Qur'an. Let me try your suggestions and see what happens. I'm already weary of iLife '08 because iMove '08 was a crippled version of iMovie '08, but when I called Apple to complain they more than made up for it.

Thanks,

Quick question, what is the difference between New Site and New Page? Should I have used New Page instead of New Site? Which one did you use in our test?
