Maybe I tried before I posted... and I didn't understand the answer.

It looks like one interpretation is that either the server didn't respond in time, or that there were too many requests made (perhaps too many redirects, or too many "hops" to the server).

Either way, I don't think it's anything that can be solved on your end. I get this error from time to time on my machine as well, and usually waiting a few moments and issuing a re-request solves it.

It is suspiciously relegated to Safari in my case, though... don't get it too many times with FireFox... well, FireFox wouldn't return a Webkit error like that, but FireFox does time out when trying to reach certain servers sometimes.

I found a way to improve: I switched to OpenDNS. Apparently that's the DNS server that creates the issue.
