Keeping the iPod clean?

I have an iPod mini and the scroll wheel is white, so it gets dirty pretty easily. Is there a special kind of wipe–or anything–that gets the dirt and crap off well?
 
I guess that if you're posting it means you tried the "wash your hands solution".

I also suppose you don't want to scratch you iPod especially the plastic parts. Try toothpaste, just dont force it into the joints. It'll deep clean plastic and metals without leaving a scratch.

Water is always a good solution - use a cotton bud (several, more likely) and scrub it with warm water (used sparingly).
 
I heard the chapel Sistine in the Vatican, Rome, was cleaned mainly with bicarbonated water. Maybe this saintly solution would work as well.
