KeyStrokes for Desktop rebuild

DUHHHHHHH! It's been so long since I needed it, but can someone tell me the keystrokes that I need to rebuild my desktop @ restart? I am having some issues and think that a deep rebuild might be the answer. Thnx,

I do not know the keystroke, but as far as i can remember disk utils can do that for you (and the classic menu for classic desktops).

There is no "rebuilding the desktop" under OS X. There is no equivalent for rebuilding the desktop. You do not need to, nor can you, rebuild the desktop under OS X.

I guess you're right, b ut then why can I not get any of my applications in my hard drive to open and the ones in my dock simple blow up before they can start to work? This is a very serious situation. Before OS X a desktop rebuild would take care of this usually so now what do I do?

Eeek, Jaguar! Try repairing permissions in Disk Utils

You can use DiskWarrior to rebuild the desktop directory. Highly recommended. Good investment.

Restart And Do 3 Finger Salute--- Comm.-opt.--p Key-r Key. Hold Til After 3 Times Of Mac Sound. Should Do Trick.

try--3 finger salute--restart and hold down comm.--opt.--p & r keys and hold til 3 cycles of apple startup music., this resets settings. should work.
