laptops that won't log on to server

I have 2 carts of laptops. I have one or two that will not log on to the server (OS X). I have checked the TCP/IP settings and they are correct. I have compared the settings with those that do work and can't seem to come up with an answer. What else can I check? What about the Network settings within the Utilities folder?
 
First try making new users on the machines to see if it is screwed up in the user. Plus what operating systems are these machines running?
