Lion: completely disabling netbios?

Is there a way to completely disable netbios under Lion?

I've seen instructions for doing this under Leopard, but they don't seem to apply to Lion.

Thanks in advance.

Open System Preferences->User & Group pane and select your Account. Then click on the 'Login Options'. Under the "Network Account Server" select 'Join' and in the pop-up select the "Open Directory Utility". Then under the work "Open Directory Utility" and when that pops-up highlight 'Active Directory" and click the pencil icon and go nuts trying to find Netbios.

Thank you!

Once I went through the steps you so kindly outlined and clicked the pencil icon, I opened the "User Experience" tab in the "Directory Utility" frame. On that page, the only reference to anything netbios-like is the following selected entry:

Use UNC path from Active Directory to derive network home location.
Network protocol to be used:
(smb: is selected).

There is nothing related to netbios in either of the other tabs ("Mappings", and "Administrative").

So should I just uncheck the checkbox next to this entry to disable netbios?
