logged in as remote admin user in file sharing, can't access non-public

contents of the remote user's home folder (who is also an administrative user). I'm trying to do this so I can use Chronosync.....both computers have the same hard drive name / user name - maybe that's the problem.
This just seems very strange...
Anyone please have a hint? Otherwise I can't use the program.

You are running into SECURITY. The person has to add you personally, tell you the password and let you log into that account. If you are logging into a Mac from a Windows computer then install Sharity on the Mac.
 
Yes, but it's MY username.....I did login with my username/password - it allows me to see my iTunes folder/public/a couple others, all the other ones have (-) in red next to it and I cannot view the contents.
