logging out by itself...closing programs

okay ive asked this in a bunch of places now. and i get the same response. but this problem keeps happening. maybe im missing something??? when i leave my macbook inactive, it will close all the programs after about 10 minutes(i think) and certain programs like firefox or safari will first leave a warning and a countdown before they close. then it will just log me out of my session. what can i do to stop this???? its so annoying. is there anyhting like in windows where you can just leave media player going and it will never sleep or anyhitng??? i have in energy saver everything shut off so it never sleeps or anything. so whats wrong. heres a picture of when its going to log out itself...

Energy Saver will not allow you to change any log out settings. You can only modify Sleep or Shutdown in that preference pane. Go to your System Preferences/Security for the settings for Logout after x minutes of inactivity. Either change to a longer time, or uncheck the box to prevent that. Looking at your screenshot, you may have some software that you are using that could be 'helping' you. You may even have a Dashboard widget that can log you out.
