Looking for a good itools style ftp client

Just like the title, I use transmit right now but I am looking for something that works like itools or smb allowing me to mount drives. I tried using the connect to server and I get the authentication asking for a password but it doesn't connect. I guess you cant use ftp??

It seems apple has been really busy developing something in Panther, but not tools the people use like ftp and html editors.

They seriously haven't fixed FTP yet?! That is absolutely unacceptable. I'm shocked. And the fact that Safari uses the Finder as an FTP client... Wow.

I hope everything's still shiny. :/

doesn'T safari mount ftp-volumes?
paste the adress (ftp://ip: port/folder) into safari and you should see the drive mounted

Yes, Safari and Mac OS X mount FTP volumes straight in the Finder, but I believe they're mounted as read-only.
