Lower case letter "c" very slow since upgrade to 10.4.

I would appreciate some help in trying to solve the following problem. Since upgrading from Jaguar 10.2.8 to Tiger on my Dual 867 MHz Power PC G4 I am having trouble with the letter "c" in lower case being slower to react than the other letters on the keyboard. I have tried all of the following without success.
I changed the keyboard but it works the same on both. I repaired permissions, rebuilt the directory with Disk Warrior, trashed the Character Palette Server plist and Keyboard Viewer Server plist, adjusted the key repeat rate and delay rate in System Preferences, but of course as this changes all letters, it made little difference. Capital letter "C" works fine. Tried Classic and lower case "c" does not work at all. I have no need to use it in Classic but mention this in case it is significant. I upgraded my Powerbook from Panther to Tiger without any such keyboard problems.
Any suggestions to resolve this problem (in simple terms please) would be greatly appreciated.

Check your keyboard shortcut mappings: in the System Preferences, under "Keyboard & Mouse", choose the "Keyboard Shortcuts" menu... scroll through that list and see if any shortcuts have been assigned the shortcut of "c".

Also, it may help to give the PRAM/NVRAM a zap: reboot and immediately hold down the command-option-p-r keys. Keep them held down until the Powerbook reboots 3 times, then release and let the PowerBook boot normally. Some keyboard settings used to be stored in PRAM back in the OS 9 days -- this may help if something's gone awry there.

Thanks for the prompt suggestion. I have now checked the Keyboard Shortcuts (did't think of that) but nothing is assigned to "c". My technical knowledge is a bit limited- if I zap the PRAM/NVRAM, do I then have to reset ALL of the preferences? You referred to my Powerbook but the problem is on my Desktop computer. My Powerbook upgrade went OK. I'm using the British keyboard, by the way, if that makes any difference. I'm new to forums so exuse me if I am not using the correct procedures.

Thanks Walt. I upgraded CopyPaste and I no longer have problems with the letter "c". Your help is greatly appreciated.
