Mac mini wont stay asleep

Hi, when I goto bed, I send my mac mini to sleep.
When I wake up in the morning, I find my mac awake again - and when I check it seams that it's been awake since about 1am.

I haven't installed anything to wake up my mac, and sleep it using the sleep option on the main apple menu.

It has 10.5.3 on it, 10.5.0 was installed from fresh when i got it, and it's had all the mac updates.

Can someone help me work out what it is that is waking the mac up?

I bought my mac mini from the apple store right after the release of leopard (oct07) - it has a usb keyboard(apple) & usb mouse(M$), bluetooth is on as sometimes i switch to the bluetooth keyboard(apple).
The wifi is turned off, the lan is plugged into the router.

This might be worth exploring.

BTW, make sure that the hard discs are put to sleep if possible in System Preferences if unticked.

Also it is possible to have things like Wake-ON LAN on. This will activate when (for wake-on-lan) a network request is issued to the computer. Something on the network might issue requests to your computer forcing it to wake up. Check the setting and disable if enabled. If you can not find the setting, maybe just unplug the network cable for 1 night to see if it does make a difference.

It is also possible other sources forces the mac mini to become awake again (not related to e.g. wake-on-lan).

Good luck, Kees
