mac os x aluminum keyboard problems

have a desktop mac os x and all of a sudden the numbers have gone haywire. the 4, 5, 6, work on the number line but not the number keypad. the 7, 8, 9, work on the number keypad but not on the number line. Any solutions. Thanks laural

Sounds like num lock is set.
