M marin Registered Sep 19, 2000 #2 I had similar problems. Try putting the CD in and then closing the CD-ROM suddenly. Also, try making sure your CD is really clean. If everything fails, go to a friend who has a CD-burner and make a fresh copy for yourself, that should work.

A adobtan Registered Jan 4, 2007 #3 Try using the Apple Hardware Test CD that came with your computer. If that doesn't work, and no discs do, you'll probably have to have it repaired. But this may be covered by the 1 year manufacturers warranty.
