I am using a 2007 Mac Pro with two 3GHz quad-core xeon processors. I also have 2 gbs of ram and am running 10.5.2. My problem is an issue regarding fan noise. When i start up my computer it runs as normal, but then over the course of a minute my hard drive fan increases its speed to 2100 rpm and my exhaust fan increases its speed to 1100 rpm, with the other 2 fans remaining the same. I have tried doing what apple suggested which is resetting my SMC control board, but that did nothing.
