Macbook Air won't sleep

I can put my airbook to sleep by command or by closing the lid, but it won't go to sleep on its own. I have the Energy Saver panel set up to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity, and the display to sleep after 5. Wake on Network Activity is off. The display sleeps but the computer doesn't. I have no connected peripherals, no usb devices at all. I'm running 10.6.4. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Is your MBA one of the new models?
Does upgrading to the current 10.6.5 help at all? You'll then be able to apply the recent MBA firmware update (if yours is a new MBA), which fixes some rare issue with video and sleep. Might help yours, eh?
