Macbook 'howling and crowing'

Hi
I run a macbook pro 2.6ghz intel 2 core duo. At random times it 'howls' or 'crows' this happens sporadically and there seems to be no method to it.The last two nights running it's 'crowed' at around 23.04 to 23.54

No one else uses my machine, or has access to it as it's password protected. I've mentioned this problem in a couple of Apple stores and the geniuses just looked at me like i needed fitting up for a straight jacket. I know this may seem a trivial problem, but I've again become a tense apple user awaiting the next noise which will make me jump out of my skin.

I have NO alarms set, or any alarm applications installed. Another lad on the forum has had the same problem and I read that thread (that's how I found this site)

Hoping you can shed some light on this for me?

Check your Dashboard for certain applications. Plus you can restart to stop the Dock application and leave it off for a couple of days (don't start it during that time). If the sounds stop then it will be a third party Dashboard application. Good luck.

Edit: Read this forum for the Dashboard widget deletion fix.
