Hello, I have been having this issue with this Macbook Pro 17" that I bought used. At the beginning I thought it was a feature of Snow Leopard because my G4 Mac is running Leopard. Bright Green flashes of light that surround boxes on the left side and diminishes triangularly into the background. That is the best way I can think to describe it. Also, sometimes I notice that the lines of text at random places on the left side of screen appear to become slightly uneven in just the one spot where two characters in a word would normally come together. I do not have any diagnostic tools and everywhere that I have been reading about diagnostics seems to be focused on data recovery etc.. Here is what I have; I do not know what all that you need to know but I can find out.
