Macbook Pro will not update

Hey guys.

I'm running into some problems applying the latest updates. I run through the downloads with no problem. It prompts to be restarted and fades back to the leopard background. Upon trying to apply the updates it prompts me that none of them we successfully applied and to consult a technician.

I have ran a File System ChecK which finds no problem and I have also issued a RAM purge upon start up. Any help would be great.


My setup is as follows:

2.33GHZ Macbook Pro with 4gig's of 667 DDR2 and an aftermarket 300gb HD.

What updates are you trying to do?

Try going to and do a search for you latest OS X Combo download (like [url=http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx1057comboupdate.html]10.5.7. Combo Update). Download the Combo you want and let it run. Don't be alarmed because it should reboot you Mac twice if needed for security firmware updates. Then after that is done use Software Update again and see if it works this time.
