Does Macbook Pro have a read reciept request? I am currently using Entourage for my email and being in business I really need to know the recipient has recieved and read my emails. Can you help?

A "read receipt" is not a function of the computer; rather, a function of whatever email client you're using. It would be impossible for your MacBook Pro to have support for read receipts, but entirely possible for a piece of software (e.g., Entourage) to have support for them.

Here are some options for enabling read receipts (or a variant thereof) in Entourage:

Read receipts are non-standard and notoriously inaccurate. They do not tell you, with any certainty, whether or not a person has read your email -- only that their email client has had focus on your email for some small length of time. Whether the person actually read the email is impossible to tell without physically observing the person reading the email -- that's the one and only way to ensure that your email is read.

In addition, the only thing guaranteed when you hit the "send" button on an email is that the email left your computer and was received by your mail server -- the rest is out of your control, and email has no guarantee of ever reaching its intended recipients (although most of the time it does).

For absolute 100% infallible information transfer, use a fax or, better yet, pick up the phone. Email is NOT the way to convey ultra-important information if you need 100% certainty that the recipient receives the information.

Not just my opinion, but the opinion of the creators of email as well.
