MacBook Question from a new user

My sister just gave me a gift of a 2.4ghz MacBook. "Thanks Sis", anyway i am trying to figure out how to change the name of the notebook. now it says kimberlis-macbook. i tried changing the account name but all that did was change the account name when i start up it still says her name.
 
That name sounds more like the computer name (or network name), so open your System Preferences, then the Sharing pane. If it says 'kimberlis-macbook' in the Computer Name block, just change that to whatever you like.

hi curiosity, not the name of hard drive but the "Network Name" thx, deltamac! but thanks for your replies. I have since found out that the mac is a unix based operating system. i have some experience on the command line with unix/zenix. maybe i'll survive the change. i really like the mac so far!!!
