Macbook Screen Flicker question

So when I boot the mac it right away flickers for a second the goes to the os never does it again i'm thinking it's the inverter cable but was wondering can repeat startups before I get another inverter cable destroy a good screen? Also what are the chances of the inverter on the logic board being bad and the new inverter doing nothing to help it? Macbook Core Duo 2.0ghz
 
For that issue, I remember the old techy quote "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I think it's a minor issue that will not get worse, and likely a driver issue (software) especially if you are running with 10.5 or 10.6 on an older MacBook.
Try your best to ignore that start up flash unless it gives you trouble AFTER start up.
