(I was in Saudi Arabia – just a kid, mind you – during the '68 Arab/Israeli War. We were visiting Riyadh on business from Al Khobar on the Persian Gulf where we lived, and were staying in a hotel in the centre of the city. A captured Israeli tank was towed into the square in front of the hotel – stinking corpses and all –*and put on public display. That's all I remember about that trip to Riyadh – the STINK!)
