I use the adjective advisedly. I am working on a book for an academic organisation right now. A certain academic, who shall remain nameless was supposed to send me one last piece of text last Friday so that I could get the book to print this week. But mo! He's gone swanning odd to the States without sending it over to me. This is just one encounter of many I have had with academics. They just have no concept of urgency or deadlines!
