Mail.app POP weirdness

I sure hope someone has an idea here... I have my domain at 1and1.com hosting and use their POP mail in Mail.app. Everything was fine until a couple days ago when I stopped downloading mail for some reason.
Console.log reports the following error:

Any ideas? I can access their webmail, but no POP. I've tried resetting my mailbox / deleting recreating the account in Mail.app - nothing seems to work.
Frustrating!!!

Sounds like a problem on 1and1.com's end to me... have you tried getting your mail with another program to see if that works? If it does, then it's probably a problem with Apple's Mail app, but if not, then it would confirm that the problem lies either with 1and1.com or your ISP...

yep - it sure was. It's resetted now and seems to be working. So annoying when you think the problem is on your end and it really isn't!
The plus side - I learned all about the console utility and am intrigued by all of these log files residing on my machine!
