Mail Application Quitting

Well we need to find out what version of OS X you are using plus the model of your Mac.

Mail problems can be different from each version of OS X. However if you go to the folder /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ and throw out the file com.apple.mail.plist . Also take any file out of /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Bundles/ and put it on your desktop then try to launch Mail.
