Mail Application Services not working

So I want to be able to simply select text within an e-mail and be able to print it.

I know that the Print selection service is supposed to do this, so I check it off in the services preferences window, and yet when i go to services within the mail application, it says "no services apply"

Does anyone know why this might be and how I can fix it?

One method that I use is to select the desired text in the Mail message, then press Command-R, which will open a reply window, with only the selected text appearing. And, then print that reply window. And, one advantage is that method also prints the header of that email message, which you might need as well as the selected text.
