PURCHASED A NEW MACPRO WORK STATION WHICH WILL HAVE 2 GB DDR2-SDRAM FOR RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY. IN MY OLD G4-133MHZ I HAVE A GB-DDR2SDRAM CARD I WOULD LIKE TO PUT IN THE NEW MACPRO. THE MACPRO IS 800 MHZ. ANYONE KNOW IF IT WILL WORK OKAY?
THANKS:)

No - the memory hardware is completely different
MacPro takes PC2-6400 FB-DIMMs, which is DDR2 memory, and your system bus speed is actually 1.6 GHz
The newest PowerMac G4 would take no more than PC-2700 or PC-3200 SDRAM, which is DDR. The highest system bus speed in a G4 PowerMac was 167 MHz.
Won't fit, can't work...

Thanks all for the news ! at least it saves me from trying to physically putting them in.
maybe i can sell them on craigs list etc.
thanks again!!!!!!!!
