Hi, I was in the process of partitioning my hard drive when my laptop hanged. My laptop then told me to turn it off, i did and then when i checked my hard drive, i had lost the memory i was going to partition, and now i don't know how to get it back.
Thanks!

Boot to your OS X installer DVD, and run Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
Click on your hard drive - the line that shows the manufacturer's info - and click the partition tab.
Click the Partition Scheme drop down, and choose 1 partition, then click the Apply button.
And, your drive will be back to one partition
And (more important, perhaps) your hard drive will then be completely blank, and you lose everything that you don't have backed up.
So, you would then quit Disk Utility, and continue with installing OS X.
Are you ready to do that?
