Menu bar glitches

In Tiger, I get some very strange menu bar behavior. Sometimes the text from two applications' menu bars will overlap (see attached picture). And often, when I quit an application, its menu bar will jump to another application (selecting a menu from the bar brings it back to normal in that case).

Does this happen to anyone else? Might it be because of my various third-party menu extras? Just wondering. Seems so bizarre. It never happened in Panther (I didn't really notice it before the 10.4.1 update, actually).

That's the first thing I would suspect: 3rd party menu items, and haxies. Disable all of them and see if the problem persists.

Yeah too many 3rd party. Have you tried resize your display to bigger so it will spread up more room.
