Menubar Problems

This is no major problem, but has anybody else had a problem with the menubar going completely black after quitting some applications? I have to switch applications to get my menubar back. Is this another Jaguar bug? If so, I'm forced to think that Apple is going backwards rather than forwards as they release more and more updates to Mac OS. 10.1 was good, and from what I can see here Jaguar seems worse in terms of reliability and stability. Hopefully something can be done.

I had a similar problem on 10.1.5, that is, the menu br was deleted from the top fo the screen completely and I had to switch to a new app before it would reappear, which it always does.

I have a feeling it is because the nib for the menu-bar is impoperly released when the application quits.

As for jaguar, i don't have it yet, for two reasons: firstly, I'm a poor student and can't afford jag after my iPod, at least not for a little while. More importantly, i'm waiting for 10.2.2 to be released, then I'll be certain that most of the major bugs will have been addressed. 10.1.5 works satisfactorily for me now (though I'd really like iCal and iChat) so I'm not too bothered. Plus I'm going to do a fresh install so I can certainly postpone formatting my HD indefinately :)

It just happens when the app doesn't get released so the OS can switch to the next running app. So it stays thinking the app is still running until you switch.

No biggie though. Just a silly bug.
