I have a 3rd party "Micro Connectors" keyboard I hooked up to my iMac running 10.1.1. Under System Profiler, it's identified as an Apple Extended Keyboard (anything's better than that cheap tiny keyboard that came with my late '99 iMac). Well, I 'accidently' hit the F14 and F15 keys and noticed that they control the on screen brightness thing (or is it contrast?). Anyways, this is really cool. Well I went through all the "F" keys hoping to find volume control, which I didn't.
So, does anyone know a way to (possibly haxx0ring my system) to get the F14 and F15 keys to control the volume, rather than the brightness controls? I'm willing to edit some files if someone can set me on the right path. What's to loose besides my perfectly functioning system and applications, anyways?
