Micro Connectors Keyboard F14 & F15

I have a 3rd party "Micro Connectors" keyboard I hooked up to my iMac running 10.1.1. Under System Profiler, it's identified as an Apple Extended Keyboard (anything's better than that cheap tiny keyboard that came with my late '99 iMac). Well, I 'accidently' hit the F14 and F15 keys and noticed that they control the on screen brightness thing (or is it contrast?). Anyways, this is really cool. Well I went through all the "F" keys hoping to find volume control, which I didn't. :(

So, does anyone know a way to (possibly haxx0ring my system) to get the F14 and F15 keys to control the volume, rather than the brightness controls? I'm willing to edit some files if someone can set me on the right path. What's to loose besides my perfectly functioning system and applications, anyways? :)

Uh, no, sorry, but while where on the topic, f14 and 15 control the contrast right¿ well, i know there is a way to control the brightness as well, cause ive done it before, but i cant seem to re-do it... any ideas?

F14 and F15 actually DO control the brightness. At least on my computer. As far as I know, there is no way to control the contrast via the keyboard, although it is interesting, because I remember poking around in the system and seeing a transparent contrast thingy too, like the volume and brightness things that pop up when you use F14 & F15, or the volume controls on the extended keyboard. I'm gonna try checking for them again, and I'll report back. :)

UPDATE: I knew it! I found the pictures! This is the path:

/System/Library/LoginPlugins/BezelServices.loginPlugin/Contents/Resources/contrast.tiff

There's also volume.tiff, mute.tiff, and bright.tiff. So apparently there's some way to control the contrast via the keyboard (I would assume, anyway). If anyone can tell us how to do this, that would be awesome (it's kind of bugging me, too :( ).

Oops I just posted a thread similar to this before reading lower :(

The f14 and f15 keys ARE for contrast, simply open your system preferences and go to monitors. You will see on the first page of monitors a slider bar for 'contrast'. If you hit one of the f14 or 15 keys to change a level, then click/bring system prefs/monitor to the front again, the contrast slider updates to match the change made with the f14/f15 keys. As I posted in the other thread, I haven't managed to find the brightness buttons.
