Mighty mouse won't scroll up :/

Hey guys,
Well, I bought a Mighty Mouse for my G3 iBook a while back and it was absolutely awesome, no problems with it ever.

I just got a Mac Pro (and with it of course, the mouse) a few days ago and already the Mighty Mouse won't scroll up...something I've heard of people having troubles with...

Anyone know a fix? Is it covered by warranty, and if so is it possible to take it in to the local apple store and get replaced, or would I have to ship it back since I bought online?

Thanks

Well I decided to give another shot at pushing the ball down and blowing in, and it started working again :/
Thanks anyway heh...maybe you could still answer the question for some others with a similar problem (or in case it breaks again XD)

I've had a similar problem with mine, but all I did was scroll the wheel really fast up and down until it "released" and it started working again. Not sure if this is the same problem your having, or if it's actually a hardware issue.

That wasn't enough for me! It still stuck.

I followed the guide I read elsewhere and took the bottom ring off - it's glued on but a flat knife will gently remove it. You can then get inside and unscrew the three Philips screws that hold the ball in place. There are four rollers, not unlike the original Apple mice all those years ago!! But very small and a bit of a fiddle to put back together when cleaned.

Instead of glue I refixed the bottom ring with silicone bath sealant. Seems to be working fine and the silicone can be cut through easily in future.

If you need constant use of the computer, use a spare mouse for 24 hours while the silicone on the Mighty Mouse cures. I held the ring in place with elastic bands and sticky tape and put it on a shelf near the boiler.
