I'm due for a new mobile phone in the next few weeks, I currently have a Sony Ericsson Z600 and really like it, I've been looking either the SE K700i or the Nokia 6230, basically the 6230 is edging it at the moment as it has expandable memory and the K700i only has 42mb and isn't expandable, problem is I want to use the phone with my mac (ical, isync, etc.)

Which do you think?

if you are willing to wait a bit, and spend some cash, id go for the treo 650. its from palm. its a full palm PDA with camera, SD slot, and all the palm apps, and a mobile phoe. it also has wireless interenet and buletooth. there is no official release date yet, but expect mid november. if you cant wait, the treo 600 is just as awesome, just lower resolution and slower processor, ram, etc. both will run you about $500. checkout palmone.com

i think motorola's new v600 is a great option. definitely check it out. too pricy for me though.
wanna sell your z600 when you're through with it? :) drop me an email if so - i'd take it

I just discovered that the Treo 600 actually plays format 2 and 3 audiobooks from Audible.com. :)

Can anyone confirm for me whether the Treo 650 does as well?

I have a SE K700i and its a brilliant little phone. I rejected the Motorola v600 coz I was advised that they're rather fragile. I rejected the Nokia 6230 coz of the smaller screen compared to the K700i and the styling is rather dull. The K700i has a VGA camera whose quality is the best among phones with VGA cameras. The non expandable memory of the K700i hasn't been an issue for me and I've taken lots of pics with it. I used the Bluetooth interface with iSync to transfer all my contacts to my PowerBook's Address Book very quickly. U can also control ur computer with the K700i in 3 ways. As a presentation tool, media player and desktop. I've used the presenter and desktop features. And most of the case is metal, therefore durable. The downside is if you keep the bluetooth on, it'll drain ur battery in 2 days. If u only use it when needed, the battery lasts between 3 to 4 days.
