I lose control of the mouse cursor from time to time. It jumps off the screen for no apparent reason especially when playing games that are mouse intensive. I have the latest version of Mac OSX installed. I've tried using the mighty mouse bluetooth version and the USB version and also a microsoft mouse but the problem persists when each of them. At first I though the problem was only in Parallels but it also happens on the Mac side.

I have 4 GB installed. That's the maximum my iMac holds.
I believe I've discovered the problem. It seems it's as simple as the surface I'm moving the mouse over. I don't know why I didn't think of that before but after getting out an old mousepad and using that instead of the wooden desktop I had been using the problem hasn't come up.

The surface your using your mac on would impact the ability of the mac for sure.. Optical mouse' use light.. and can get lost in certain colours on the surface..
