My mac displays weird blue bars!!

All of a sudden, my mac started displaying light blue bars in white regions. I have no idea what may have caused this. I don't think the display just broke, because when you run the something, like the mouse or a window over the blue bars, it displays correctly in the window's "shadow".

Look at the pictures to see what I'm talking about.
I couldn't use screenshots, because when viewed on another computer, the image looks fine.
That's why the images are taken with a camera.

Open your System Preferences, then Universal Access.
Click on the Seeing tab. Make sure that the Contrast control is ALL the way to normal (fully to the left)

If that doesn't change anything,
Do you still see the blue bars:
- when logged in to a different user? Create a new user just for this purpose
- when booted to your OS X installer DVD?

Try booting to your hardware test: Restart while holding the letter D.
That should boot to your hardware test, so run both the standard, and extended tests.
If you DON'T get to your hardware test with the D, boot to your original restore DVD, again, boot with that restore DVD in the drive, while holding the letter D.


Finally, which MacBook Pro do you have?
Best way is to go to your Apple menu, then About this Mac. Click on the More Info button.
That will launch your System Profiler. Under Hardware Overview - what is the Model Identifier?
