MAC OS X - JAGUAR DEMONSTRATION ON CAMPUS DECEMBER 10
Apple Canada invites you to a presentation on the new Mac OS X v10.2 in the
Math Colloquium Room of the Herzberg Physics Building on December 10.
Referred to by its code name, Jaguar, Mac OS X v10.2 is a different breed of
operating system. Jaguar combines the rock-solid reliability of UNIX with
the ease of use of Macintosh. This version of Mac OS X is as innovative as
the computers that run it. Representatives from Apple will also be on hand
to discuss the new Apple Technology Assurance Program for Carleton
University. Under this program, Carleton University Mac users will be able
to upgrade their G3/G4 system to the latest version of the operating for $40
per year. The presentation will be held in Room 4351, the Math Colloquium
Room, in the Herzberg Physics Building on December 10, from 9:30 to 11:30
a.m. Please confirm your attendance by sending an email to

Apple should do public shows on market places in every town of the world. Just project a G4's desktop onto a big white wall. Show off some stuff. iTunes with trippy visualisations (make sure it doesn't skip!). People might trip enough to buy an iMac off the spot. :p

Yeah it is!... if every 10.x update from now on will be a pay one (most likely) and they release them at the same rate (1/year) at the same cost ($129) You do the math... $40/year rather than $129/year. I doubt you have to get it every year either if you don't want to. So you're saving $90.
