myPhpAdmin setup help on OS 10.5

I'm learning PHP and was trying to setup my system again since I recently had my system wiped and rebuilt with Leopard. Where my local website used to be "localhost" now its "http://eadamsmbp." When I navigate to phpMyAdmin, it says it can't find "localhost." Can someone tell me how to setup my system properly so i can either change my personal web back to localhost or how to configure with the current settings?

Silly question, but is "Web Sharing" enabled in the Sharing pane of the System Prefereces?

Yeah, form system preferences you navigate to the sharing option and turn web sharing on.
