Hello ppl,
I am in the mist of implementing a senaior at my work, is there a way to mimic the windows domain log on model. What i mean is that i have to setup a mac server and few client machines in my testing lab, and i want users to log on to the client machines and use the mac os x server for authentication. How do i set up the user, on the server or on the client machine. please help and thanks in advance for help!
 
You want "Open Directory" services running.

Use "Workgroup Manager" to add/remove users and groups.

Use "Directory Utility" (Leopard) or "NetInfo Manager" (Tiger) on the client machines to "bind" them to your Open Directory server.
